PRF Law is Hiring a Fellow
Peter Romer-Friedman Law PLLC is seeking a Fellow for its Washington, D.C. or New York City office. The fellowship will be for one year with the option to extend for a second year if desired by both the fellow and the firm. The fellowship is a unique opportunity to work on cutting edge and novel class action litigation and individual cases, and to work closely with lawyers who have decades of experience in public interest law firms, non-profits, and government.
Peter Romer-Friedman Law PLLC is a public interest and civil rights law firm, currently with five attorneys, that represents people, non-profit groups, and unions to advance social and economic justice in a range of legal areas, including employment discrimination, constitutional rights, fair housing, public accommodations, tech accountability, and consumer protection. The firm’s lawyers have secured over $1.5 billion dollars in relief for clients and historic programmatic changes through class action litigation and individual cases. The firm tackles new and difficult problems like discrimination by online platforms and the denial of IVF benefits to LGBTQ people, and solves decades-old obstacles to equality like the exclusion and harassment of women in the trucking industry and large employers’ discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, and military status.
We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrated commitment to public interest law and social justice. The candidate should be an excellent writer and a self-starter who is ready to take initiative and ownership over their cases and work directly with clients. We will strive to give the Fellow the broadest range of experiences possible, both in terms of the types of tasks they will get to work on (e.g., depositions, arguments in court, brief writing) and in the substantive areas of law in which they get to work. The Fellow should expect to work on cases across all the firm’s practice areas and on both class actions and individual plaintiff cases.
The fellowship will have a base salary range of $100,000-$150,000 per year (exempt) based on experience and employer-provided health insurance, and will be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. We encourage applicants of all experience levels to apply.
To apply, please send a cover letter, resume, writing sample, and law school transcript to info@prf-law.com.
